DAY 2
Thursday, November 16
Morning
If you’re feeling the need for a fresh start, book a room at the
Mandalay Bay for access to the property’s 11-acre artificial beach area where eight pools will help revive you for the day ahead. The best reservation for a breakfast-of-champions is
Veranda because of its famous Short Rib Hash (aka The Vegas Cure-All). If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to sample the apple cobbler French toast. In need of an extra boost? Order up the Elderberry Defense, an herbal tonic which blends hibiscus, juice, and cinnamon.
Afternoon
A short helicopter ride from Vegas brings you to the stunning
Red Rock Canyon, a 13-mile vista that looks like a live landscape painting come to life. Thrill-seekers should book a ticket to
Area 51 – an experiential, interactive fusion of art, music, sport, and tech. The space has been dubbed an amusement park on steroids thanks to holographic neon lighting and AI-enhanced imagery. Head back to the race area in time to catch the first practice of the Vegas Grand Prix, which begins promptly at 1pm.
Evening
Sneak in a disco nap before heading out for an action-packed night on the town. The first official F1 practice begins at 8:30pm and the best view in town is at
The Paddock Club, which will be serving up gourmet food and premium drinks. You may want to opt out of any other after-practice after-parties and head directly to The Sphere — the hottest ticket in town. Here you’ll catch incredible talent playing on
The Sphere’s $2.3 billion multimedia stage with acoustics to live for. Among the legends performing are Kylie Minogue, Mark Ronson, and Nile Rodgers with Chic. After your musical interlude head back to the track at around 12am to find out the qualifying teams and times.
